This year is the year of the snake which means this cheeky group of primary school classmates officially hit 24! Big talk isnt it? 12 years ago we were all little monkeys running around the classrooms, ordering 50cents chicken rice, hopping on hopscotch, playing truant lol
I knew this day will come soon, the day when we eventually receive invitations to each other's wedding. Seems so surreal now that we are all grown ups, working and earning big bucks. In those days, pokemon cards and all the silly things have more values compared to real cash.
The first to get hitched was Meizi! Honestly we haven't been in each other's life since primary school days so it was really heartwarming that she still rmbrs me. Her wedding dinner also gave us this rare opportunity to gather together as primary school mates to reminiscence on the good old days.
The girls who attended naming Xiao yu, Enci, Jingyi, Genieve, me, Sihui, Jiaying and Shermeen! We used to be like a clique in primary school and till today I can still rmbr Xiao yu and Jia ying's home telephone no. Yea, we were that tight. I secretly take pride in that haha
Kai xiang, Guo xiong, Fuh yuan, Ling kai and Kian lip who always keep the conversations going (:
Snapped a picture with our teacher in charge back in those days. She definitely made a huge impact in our lives. I still rmbr how she would get so mad at our class for being such a pain that she insisted all of us go get a 20cents wooden ruler from the bookshop, write our name on it, keep it safe in the bookshelf behind our classroom and would ask us to take it out if she needed to punish us.
She aged so gracefully and is gonna have an early retirement at the age of 55 (:
Geez I miss those carefree days.
It was a great dinner filled with so much love and laughters! It only takes one night to be back connected to each other again. Lets pray to ever keep in contact (: Have a happy marriage Meizi! Looking forward to more invitations etc. baby showers. Hehe!
