Hong Kong day 4 - Macau
HongKong day 4
We caught a ferry and went across borders to Macau! (:
Honestly, Macau is very very small and nothing much to see but it is quite chill so basically you just eat and sight see. There are heaps of casinos around and the buildings are super grand. I especially love the one named Galaxy! Not only because we won money in that casino but also the ambience was nicer as compared to Venetian (where we lost money). In the end all was good because we broke even yay! (:
There are loads of free shuttle buses to the different casinos right outside the ferry terminal to make it convenient for gamblers to get around. Our first stop was the Venetian and I was awed by the amazing interior. Dar said Venetian only took 1 year to break even, geeeez no wonder my daddy said casino will always make money at the end of the day.
The toilet is so pretty! Cant resist taking a picture of it (:
After losing money in Bacarat, we need to feed our sad souls with comfort food and so I bought portuguese tart! Seemed like every portuguese tart was baked to perfection, even random stalls on the streets! Macau made us feel as though we were in Europe because some of the architectures looked quite european.
A piece of heaven right there.
The cheeky turkish ice cream man! Dar hasnt tried it before therefore I bought him an experience (:
Alot of people selling Bak Kwa in the streets and they let you sample it by shoving the tiny pieces of Bak Kwa straight into your mouth.
There we were, ruins of st paul and then my camera died. ): Thank God for Iphones.
After walking around Ruins of st paul (honestly nothing special), we went to Casino Galaxy to catch a free shuttle bus back to the ferry terminal. But before that, we played my all time favourite game
'casino war' and won money! The thrill of winning money is pure adrenaline.
So we went back to Hong Kong ard evening time to prepare ourselves for Lan Kwai Fong. LKF is the where all the pubs and clubs are. There are alot of foreigners mostly whites, pubbing and getting drunk. It was really lively and everyone looked really happy, so happy it was contagious. (:
We met up with my Hongkong friends Cheryl and her bf, Kelvin, Eric, Yoyo and they bought us to Azure. Azure is a club located at the 29th floor of LKF tower, it was really nice and the view was just perfect! The weather was cooling but not freezing so we spent most of the time at the outside bar (:
Cheryl and her very tall Bf (:
The view from Azure (:
Cheryl, Kelvin and me! It would have been perfect if Claudia was there with us too!
I miss you Claudia (:
Had a fun time catching up and laughing at every single thing we used to do together in Perth. Dar and I ended up really high and hungry so we went to the nearby hk cafe to supper with Kelvin and Eric (:
I appreciated the local experience, eating local food at the local cafe. God I miss HK already ):
